who we are
Our first bottle was born in 2016, thanks to a meeting with a friend, part of the Vini Veri consortium, on a day of winemaking in the family garage. A small laboratory but equipped with everything necessary. We fell in love! While at the beginning of our adventure we worked on a contract basis at a winery, we felt the need for something that was all ours. We wanted to be garage owners too! So in 2019, after obtaining all the licenses, we finally inaugurated our "Garage". 60m2 in which to check the evolution of our wines every day, refine them in steel vats, watch them grow and mature until they are ready to go into the bottle.
We have come a long way and since that lucky meeting we now have 6 labels on the market but we don't stop dreaming.
Andrea and Maria, united in life in marriage, two children and the love for our land. Here, in the center of Sicily, within the frame of the Sicani Mountains we have decided to grow our roots. We are in Bivona, a town in the Agrigento hinterland, a little-known area but capable of offering a lot.
Far from the coasts but strongly favored by the climate and exposure of the land. Bivona is best known for the production of peaches but the area is rich in olive groves, the driving forces of the local economy. Our native varieties are the biancolilla, the ceraiola and the murtiddara - the latter is a black olive that reaches maturity at the end of the olive oil season.
We took over the family business, Di Salvo, in 2012. Conducted organically since 2010, it received the 2012 certification but we have always had great respect and attention to production, favoring agriculture free of pesticides and chemical products. We have always supported a natural path, intervening, if necessary, with sulfur and rock dust.
The land is located in various areas with variable altitude. From 550m above sea level to 600m above sea level This diversification ensures that each vineyard and its varieties can express themselves at their best. The varieties in production at the moment are: Catarratto and Inzolia for white wines and Perricone and Nero d'Avola for red wines.
Why choose an artisanal wine? Because wine, in our house, has always been made with grapes. No activation of fermentation, indigenous yeasts and minimal additions of sulphites.
So, when we began our journey, we did nothing but continue a process already started by our ancestors before us. Our work comes from the pride of making our wine and our territory known. We have invested in technology, new vineyard plantings, care and attention to existing vineyards.
We are artisans. We get to know our plants one by one. We prune them, we take care of them, we harvest them in boxes, we work day and night - especially at night for the sulfur treatments so that the temperatures are more favourable.

The company has an area of 15 hectares divided as follows:
10 hectares
dedicated to the olive growing of Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Murtiddrare cultivars, the latter - specifically - is a typical representation of our territory which requires particular attention to the harvesting period in order to extract a top quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
5 hectares
dedicated to the viticulture of native vines such as Nero d'Avola, Catarratto and Perricone. The production areas and their altitude, as well as the composition of the soils - generally medium-textured with percentages varying between clayey and calcareous - give unique and peculiar characteristics to each wine.
The vineyards are distributed as follows:
Catarratto, Pedano district, 500 meters above sea level; - Perricone, Carnicola district - 450 meters above sea level; - Nero d'Avola Giddia district - 450 meters above sea level;
